I started it in November 2022 and finished it at the beginning of January, but have just gifted it today. </p><p>My granddaughter and her boyfriend have just bought their first home. As she loves sunflowers, I couldn't resist making this as a housewarming present. It's big enough for them both to snuggle under.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggxVRz-q2U4iwTLjtTAQ-MWyeh-k1hthne8jeYM85WLAODryUIbkHgxMfQYz3riCX3Fbj0WeuRl7nHdzFObS-t1fKiqJRIq8ldu5g1mzvBz4vSumfP2fdmbXmhrDUmwyePxs3X6RKZH7a3aoJiFAzaNgKGbZVylp8fy4y7LVIl5OOHTfBcPU3ycHs0-A/s2289/20230128_152026.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2289" data-original-width="1834" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggxVRz-q2U4iwTLjtTAQ-MWyeh-k1hthne8jeYM85WLAODryUIbkHgxMfQYz3riCX3Fbj0WeuRl7nHdzFObS-t1fKiqJRIq8ldu5g1mzvBz4vSumfP2fdmbXmhrDUmwyePxs3X6RKZH7a3aoJiFAzaNgKGbZVylp8fy4y7LVIl5OOHTfBcPU3ycHs0-A/w320-h400/20230128_152026.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The pattern is "Sunflower Throw" by yarnspirations. Since retiring from work, I have more time to crochet, so I thought I should learn something different. <div><br /></div><div>Arunima Goel from the Facebook Group "KnitterKnotter Hangout" has created a blanket using 25 Tunisian Mosaic squares. She is sharing a new pattern every two weeks and then she will share the pattern for the border. </div><div><br /></div><div>Although I have made several things using Tunisian Crochet, I have never tried Mosaic. I tried the first square and fell in love with the technique and the result.</div><div><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq3iX6xtzOWVTM2X62bZnslD78enbg8h3vOdVQ5QomGWt7aSNJU6famqZ3eNOuGNloPIcYkb1_sZdEA2pRxr2XNbD0LqQYhPBb_w9lz83WN7GY41N8AhAhnLNjYdtDP7W4_D5HT9IxUdVDqTYk0wGR2N_wv9MuU7iptkqVRK0zSwhqvqVxHzUmDiqs5w/s3024/20230112_134718~2.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="2993" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq3iX6xtzOWVTM2X62bZnslD78enbg8h3vOdVQ5QomGWt7aSNJU6famqZ3eNOuGNloPIcYkb1_sZdEA2pRxr2XNbD0LqQYhPBb_w9lz83WN7GY41N8AhAhnLNjYdtDP7W4_D5HT9IxUdVDqTYk0wGR2N_wv9MuU7iptkqVRK0zSwhqvqVxHzUmDiqs5w/s320/20230112_134718~2.jpg" width="317" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Week 1<br /><br /></td></tr></tbody></table>Looking forward to the next one.<br /><br /><div><br /></div><div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> </div></div>Rosie Castlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15324733651580236586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6379479679202054954.post-86304451362888937212021-01-24T12:00:00.001-08:002021-01-24T12:00:33.336-08:00More scrapbooking<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;" wfd-id="0"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Gg-g6t5pEVyLqouEHgNGw-A6q0OZtdoi4-2e7uy2DqgPllz-g5cLUnltJrYMZAg3OR8qAvI1G036xl8MoPdDN0iHVfTwlXSDjV8YRt6ZVEnmxkP8gIWuuygu1rl9tP9XMMe000LDGPNH/s1152/maccs.png" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1152" data-original-width="1152" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Gg-g6t5pEVyLqouEHgNGw-A6q0OZtdoi4-2e7uy2DqgPllz-g5cLUnltJrYMZAg3OR8qAvI1G036xl8MoPdDN0iHVfTwlXSDjV8YRt6ZVEnmxkP8gIWuuygu1rl9tP9XMMe000LDGPNH/w320-h320/maccs.png" width="320" /></a></div><br />I'm really enjoying playing with digital scrapping. I'm using a very old scrapbooking software called Craft Artist. My stepdaughter has been scrapping for years and has recorded many events from her children's lives. I never thought I could do this as, although I enjoy crafts, I usually need a pattern or instructions.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Indie Flower; font-size: large;"><span style="color: #351c75;">I can never find a planner that includes the items I want so I decided I would try making my own printables. I started looking at digital scrapping sites to see what I could find. I came across the </span><a href="https://www.pixelscrapper.com/" target="_blank">Pixel Scrapper site</a><span style="color: #351c75;">. It is full of beautiful papers and graphics to download. I soon got lost in all the kits and spent far too much time looking at all the beautiful stuff. </span></span></p><p><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: Indie Flower; font-size: large;">I found some graphics to make my planner pages and after looking at all the wonderful layouts, I had a go myself.</span></p><p><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: Indie Flower; font-size: large;">So here it is - my very first digital scrapbook page!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;" wfd-id="0"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBRV_7KYeX8LQvRaOr431tGhTMQ3MccE2vsbXFCpyYpnhX2nQKlpX-ebsZqDdw8T7PBjbVUw1i4vf1Pko6n0eIUOg8yQu8xs4QyCIy4sYD0b70Whbx-m4xtnbeOSuoLLsHI_Tmq74SK9Qa/s1152/mumdad1.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1152" data-original-width="1152" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBRV_7KYeX8LQvRaOr431tGhTMQ3MccE2vsbXFCpyYpnhX2nQKlpX-ebsZqDdw8T7PBjbVUw1i4vf1Pko6n0eIUOg8yQu8xs4QyCIy4sYD0b70Whbx-m4xtnbeOSuoLLsHI_Tmq74SK9Qa/s320/mumdad1.png" /></a></div><br /><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: Indie Flower; font-size: large;">I used "Vintage Memories" kits by Jessica Dunn and really enjoyed making this. </span><p></p><p><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: Indie Flower; font-size: large;">Stay safe everyone.</span></p>Rosie Castlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15324733651580236586noreply@blogger.com0
