Today I had a few happy hours teaching my step daughter and grand daughter to crochet. We started by making a row of chains. We tried doing some double crochets into the chains, but found this a bit difficult so we decided to work into a ring. We made some chains, slip stitched them into a ring and then practiced double crochets into the ring. This worked better that working in rows. Once they had got the hang of how to hold the crochet hook and yarn, we decided to make a granny square. I showed them how to do treble crochet and off they went. I explained how to do each block and each corner and this was the first attempt. Pretty good don’t you think?
It’s great to pass crocheting on to the next generation.
